Perhaps when your sins keep revisiting you, it is a good thing, because it is a reminder of the dark times in case you have forgotten them; a slap on the face, or a dunking of your head in cold water, a look into the mirror showing your inner self - a look through your own eyes. This, certainly, will help you not stray away to the darkness again. Painful reminders, but serving a good purpose.
If the slap on your face keeps you on your toes then it's worth it, but they say if ever you look back, look at the good stuff only, smile and walk ahead. This is a very wonderful world, none can make you unless you really want to behold it like that. =) Stay blessed wherever you remain.
ReplyDeleteYou see, this isn't about you looking back at your life, it's about your mistakes from the past presenting themselves to you in different clothing in the present. Repeatedly. And how you benefit from these visits is up to you.
ReplyDeleteBut then, I understand why you should only look at the good stuff when thinking about the past, because truly, we have SO much good in our lives that we do not pay attention to, so much that we should be grateful for...
=)
It's strange of those mistakes masking different shapes and tripping the light fantastic toe before you just to tease but ending up serving a good purpose. Well, quaint emotions but very well expressed, I relate to them though.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, I went through your blogposts, there were some posts which made me cry and relive stuff. The better half that is you, The Cry, Magnet-o, And you thought you knew it and some more. I'm ... it's ineffable ecstasy. Although you know already but still I just wanted to tell you that you've got great skills Ms Bard! =) Take care.
Your words are too too kind! I am glad you found my ranting interesting enough to spend time here =p
ReplyDeleteI sneaked a look at your page too. Love the design! Saddened that I found no place to comment. Because one of your posts...'solace'...it surprised me...and this is why:

=)
Thank you so much for visiting, I suppose they don't let you comment unless you have a blog there. Mean people! =) It's but my pastime, I go there when the emotions are at a simmer.
ReplyDeleteI was almost shocked to see the similarities of thoughts. I also wanted to write the last line of Pink Floyd's song "Learning To Fly" after the line that was in my head for like a very long time because they both were kind of alike but I messed it up for two reasons, first, I couldn't remember the lyrics, I only knew the words misfit and twisted. Second, I was too sleepy to look for the song, instead I started thinking of suitable riming words, this is crazy! =D Anyway, Nice to meet you Rida and I hope that I will be your regular reader especially from now on. =)
Hi Rida -
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a comment on my blog yesterday!
Have a great day!
Rida. That look in the mirror that shows you the inner self? Could it be another person that you feel at one with? And if so, wouldn't that reflection be too perfect to include the flaws you're trying to identify?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I get what that means.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! these visits do serve a good purpose.. yes they really do.. sigh
